The importance of employee safety training can hardly be overstated. Through classroom and online information sessions, you invest not only in physical safety - preventing workplace accidents and risks - but also in the mental well-being of your team. This is how you build step by step a strong safety culture and a professional, caring image of your company.
NOA Trainings has been organizing open and in-company safety training courses since 2012. In recent years, the training institute has specialized in a regional and niche approach.
Christoph Zwaenepoel, operations director and son of founder Ingrid Nys, ensures, together with the team, that the credo ‘GROW’ is realized to the maximum within the training institute. “GROW stands for Giving, Respecting, Being Sincere and Wanting,” he says. “Both inside and outside our training institute - which has top infrastructure for security days - we grant each other success, treat each other with respect, build a sincere long-term cooperation and vision, and want to put our shoulders to the wheel together. We want to share these values as much as possible with our customers when organizing safety training, so that they can develop a robust safety policy - including employee awareness - internally.”

One of NOA Trainings“ strengths is its customized training, combined with a regional approach. ”Most of our customers are based in Antwerp and the Kempen region,“ Zwaenepoel points out. ”They are active in various sectors - from road transport to manufacturing industry - but we also work outside our region. Since 2022, for example, we have been organizing regular safety training on ships worldwide."
“As an officially recognized training partner - including with the Flemish Department of Mobility and Public Works - and as a member of FEDOC95, we offer companies a broad calendar. In addition to working with a forklift, aerial work platform, combination truck or telehandler, for example, companies can also come to us for a wide range of CODE95 training courses for truck drivers, the development of an emergency plan or customized training in the context of safe working with machinery.”
In addition to this diverse range of ‘hard’ topics, NOA Trainings has specialized in communication and behavioral training in recent years. Zwaenepoel explains: “Safe and healthy work starts with good leadership and clear communication. When people experience negative stress, it leads to less focus and more chance of accidents as well as loss of quality. So companies have everything to gain from pursuing a psychologically safe work environment.”
“In addition to training courses such as leadership, mentorship, dealing with aggression, with NOA Trainings we also offer workshops and coaching to sharpen the communication skills of both managers and employees around the shop floor. Together with our safety training, this is the ideal tandem for a good safety culture,” Zwaenepoel concludes.
