Top climate score: Jungheinrich gets highest rating from CDP with A

Jungheinrich has achieved the top score A in the climate assessment of the renowned international non-profit organization CDP. This places the Hamburg-based intralogistics service provider among the world's leading companies in terms of climate and transparency.

  • CDP confirms Jungheinrich's role as climate pioneer
  • Jungheinrich among the top four percent of companies worldwide
  • Substantial progress thanks to consistent implementation of climate strategy

With this top score, Jungheinrich reaches an important milestone and captures a spot on the annual CDP ranking, which lists global climate pioneers. By 2025, only four percent of the nearly 20,000 companies rated received this result. The score A stands for ‘leadership’ and recognizes companies that are effectively reducing their emissions as well as demonstrating this transparently.

Since its first participation in 2021 (B-), Jungheinrich has continuously improved its environmental performance. After a B-score in 2024, the company now achieves the highest rating A, underlining the successful implementation of its climate strategy. Dr. Lars Brzoska, CEO of Jungheinrich AG: “The CDP score clearly shows how seriously Jungheinrich takes its sustainability responsibilities. The honor of receiving the highest score A confirms our consistent course toward net zero and constitutes both recognition and encouragement.”

Jungheinrich is pursuing ambitious climate goals validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. The company aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 1, 2 and 3 by 2050. By 2024, emissions were reduced by 5.8 percent from the previous year.

A key tool in this is the electrification of its own fleet, which is being deployed in customer service worldwide. In the Netherlands, more than a quarter of the service buses are now fully electric. By 2028, Jungheinrich aims to have around 2,000 electric service buses in use worldwide. In addition, Jungheinrich is strongly committed to the circular economy. In the overhaul process, up to 99 percent of each forklift is reused or recycled.
