Van der Veldt Bronbemaling has been engaged in well drilling in the broadest sense of the word for many decades. The company specializes in locally lowering the groundwater table for all kinds of situations.
Examples include increasing the stability of dikes and embankments, draining a construction pit or digging trenches in dry conditions for the installation of cables and pipes. A unique technology is used for the latter.
In the infrastructure sector, Van der Veldt is a familiar face. "We are frequently active in reclaiming pipe trenches as deep as 3 to 4 meters," says Ron Jacobs of Van der Veldt Bronbemaling. "We could theoretically put away as much as 10 kilometers of drainage per week. Our technology allows us to lower the groundwater table very locally. This is partly due to the special filters/sources we apply in a diameter of 25 millimeters," Jacobs explains. "Even in peaty areas, as is the case in the Randstad, we can dry out pipe trenches very quickly. The start-up of this type of dewatering is therefore much faster than other forms of dewatering. We can switch very quickly. Not least because we have all supplies and equipment under our own management and can carry out the installation of the drainage completely independently with our own personnel."
