Last year ASSA ABLOY again made significant strides in the field of sustainability. For example, by the end of 2022, the Group had no fewer than 299 verified and published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Furthermore, total greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 6% and energy intensity decreased by 15% compared to 2021. Other highlights from 2022 include the decrease in water intensity by 20% and waste intensity by 14%. All positive developments that are the direct result of targeted actions by various committed teams in the group.

For the second year in a row, ASSA ABLOY was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe. This international gauge benchmarks the sustainability performance of leading companies. In addition, the Science Based Targets initiative endorsed the company's goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and to achieve net zero by 2050 at the latest.
