Successful first edition for Techni-Mat

Despite the unusual circumstances, a nice foundation was laid of the new trade fair TECHNI-MAT. Most exhibitors agreed: after 6 months, finally an opportunity to meet customers and relations live once more.

The beautiful setting, tight organization and strong content program created a positive atmosphere among attendees. Visitors were also pleasantly surprised by the diverse offerings at the fair. Good for a total of 1,659 visitors.

Everything also followed the strict rules of the fair protocol, after all, the safety of all participants is the priority for the organization.

Gregory Olszewski, Managing Director: "Launching a new trade show in the market is always a challenge. In these times it is even more difficult, but we were convinced that TECHNI-MAT had to continue, in the interest of the sector. And then when you see that there is a good atmosphere and physical contacts are being made again, then you are glad that you persevered and that the market also followed."

TECHNI-MAT is a new fair that focuses on techniques and materials for infra and structural work and is an initiative of InfraTech (Rotterdam Ahoy) and Matexpo (The Fair Experts). Kim Vrolijk, Exhibition Manager: "There was a clear need in Belgium for such an innovative platform. The fact that more than 120 exhibitors were immediately present at the appointment shows that TECHNI-MAT has taken its place as a meeting place for the entire sector. The extensive knowledge program was also a great added value."

During the presentation of the first-ever TECHNI-MAT Awards, Stradus and CERO Pavement took away the Sustainability Award and CGK Maritime the Technical Award. Visitors cast their votes on October 7 for one of the 6 nominees. Stradus with CERO Paving also won the Audience Award.

An extensive survey of exhibitors and visitors will be organized in the coming days. This will allow the second edition to be tailored even better to the wishes of participants and partners. This second edition will take place on March 9 and 10, 2022.
