Weber MT's CR7: a forward and backward look

Specialist in hand-operated compaction machines delivers unprecedented quality

Sophisticated to the last detail and durable in rough construction sites. Those are the products of Weber MT. As one of the leading manufacturers of hand-operated compaction machines, Weber MT focuses on its strengths and does not settle for "standard" quality.

The medium-sized family business has been developing, manufacturing and selling compaction machines since 1958. "Exclusively hand-operated," adds
Nadine Rogiers, sales manager Benelux at Weber MT. With this, Weber MT occupies a niche in the construction machinery industry. The company -with some 200 employees and headquarters and production in Germany- supplies worldwide through various sales offices and subsidiaries.

Specialization

"We lead the way in the field of forward and reverse vibratory plates and soil compactors, vibratory rammers, rollers and vibratory seams for concrete compaction. In doing so, our goal is to develop technologically and high quality products. As many as 10% of Weber MT's employees are involved in or work in our development department," said Rogiers. "In doing so, our requirement in terms of quality always goes beyond what has now been achieved."

'Made by Weber MT'

Rogiers cites several examples of Weber MT's innovative strength, some of which involve a new innovative product but others involve continuous development of an existing product. "For example, Weber MT was the first to apply compaction control to vibratory plates: the COMPATROL® 2.0 with motor data management (MDM) ensures even compaction and prevents motor damage caused, for example, by lack of oil, a dirty air filter or overheating. On the CF series, the compact advance vibratory plates, Weber MT has developed an anti-vibration hand bracket that ensures low hand-arm vibrations. And on the SRV series rammer, operational safety has been enhanced by applying a three-stage air filtration system." Some examples by which Weber MT
meets market demand (increased comfort and operational safety) or changing industry requirements or regulations (safety, emissions requirements).

Quality, specialization and concentration

Clearly, the core competencies to deliver a high-quality product at Weber MT are quality, specialization and concentration. "Not only the quality of the products, but also to the customers," Rogiers adds. "The fast parts delivery and service to our customers is an important factor in this. That this is okay is reflected in the low warranty quotas and high customer satisfaction," Rogiers concludes.
