Set-up becomes condenser

Last year, Element Logic dipped into the global top 20 Materials Handling System Suppliers 2023. A great achievement for this logistics player that now operates in more than twenty countries. The company is increasingly top of mind for robotic automation in warehouses and is also recording great growth in our country.

Automation promotes an ergonomic workplace.

"There is quite a shortage of warehousing space today. Rising inflation was one of the culprits. Companies then stockpiled a large amount to counter rising prices. And corona was also fresh in their minds. During this period, it wasn't always easy to get goods in this direction," says sales director Melle van den Berg. "Building new premises is often not really an option today, unfortunately. The prices of both land and materials are extremely expensive. Moreover, the requirements set for building are becoming increasingly stringent. Hence, companies are increasingly looking for solutions in their existing warehouse."

Important added value

And that's when companies knock on Element Logic's door. "As the world's first AutoStore partner, we are today the market leader in systems integration in Europe. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience in warehouse automation for customers in a wide variety of sizes and industries. The top three are filled by fashion, pharma & beauty and spare parts. With our AutoStore system, totes are put into systems that are brought to employees by robots. They no longer have to walk 20 km or more in a working day, which is an ergonomic bonus. They pick right where they are, so the process can continue."

"This is a significant added value compared to a conventional environment. In addition, picking is up to four times faster and no more picking aisles are needed. With this, you create up to 70% of additional space. After all, the set-up becomes much more condensed. Other advantages of automation lie in reducing the error rate and optimizing customer satisfaction."

Energy Reduction

"An AutoStore system saves space and costs, increases efficiency and strengthens profitability. The added value we offer is enormous. Especially at a time when it is difficult to find staff, robots come in handy. Also not insignificant is the savings in electricity costs. Ten of our robots use only as much energy as one vacuum cleaner. Furthermore, you need much less lighting and you also have a strong reduction in heating costs because there are far fewer workers on the entire shop floor."

Long-term partnerships

Element Logic has its own software systems and also provides all the conveyor solutions needed with them. "We engineer the whole thing, do the installation and thus build long-term partnerships with our customers. A good partnership also requires a high service level. We can solve more than 95 percent of all questions remotely by software. In fact, our hotline is staffed 24/7 with technical personnel. We also have our own Element Logic service team for Belgium and the Netherlands. We also train our customers' staff to solve first-line problems themselves. That way they become super users of their system."

"In Venlo, Element Logic installed an AutoStore installation with one hundred robots for our company. There is room for 47,500 bins for product storage. The system was operational within six months of signing the contract. Element Logic is therefore the ideal partner for rolling out the AutoStore technology in twenty automated fulfillment plants in Europe and North America. It is a great advantage that we only have to develop interfaces once." - Peter van der Maas, Executive Vice President DSV.
