Organizer of construction projects in all respects

For almost half a century Bolckmans has been a leading contractor specializing in prefab construction. Think of the realization or renovation of commercial buildings, preferably in a one-to-one approach, for national and international companies that expect added value.

"Since its founding in 1973, Bolckmans, as a modern contractor, has grown to become a specialist in utility construction," states Commercial Director Boni Voorhelst. "We are not just a contractor, but an organizer of construction projects in every sense, with our skilled employees completing dozens of successful projects every year. It is with great thanks to them that Bolckmans is doing well." A no-nonsense approach is the Bolckmans DNA. "When the corona pandemic broke out, we immediately set up a crisis board, so that barely two weeks later we had a fully executable plan. Our shipyards - and thus our customers - experienced almost no disruption. Despite strict government restrictions, we delivered all projects on time." Teamwork to be proud of and the result of the well-oiled machine that is Bolckmans. "Even in these turbulent times, Bolckmans has a well-filled order book, keeping our many customers satisfied despite the sharp price increases in our sector," says Voorhelst. "This by being very short on time and providing transparent information to our customers. Good communication is crucial and our customers appreciate that. This proves our annual turnover, which for 70 % is realized by returning customers."

Total relief

Bolckmans distinguishes itself by always achieving the most sustainable, least environmentally damaging building solution. Voorhelst: "Since Bolckmans is not production-driven, we innovate in terms of service and working methods to guarantee our customers total peace of mind. Some examples: extensive digitization on the site (in function of simplifying administration), full deployment of AR and VR (customer experience), 3D-calculation in test phase (3D model as a budget basis, where each change shows the price-consequence), extensive work preparation (BIM) up to 'bolt-and-nut level' (minimal error burden and virtual twin) and focus on sustainable construction. To illustrate: in the south of the Netherlands, we realized a large logistics building with a BREEAM Outstanding certificate. A large dental center with a BREEAM Excellent certificate is also under construction in Antwerp. And in construction team (design phase), we are building the most circular warehouse in Belgium for a major logistics player, including BREEAM Excellent certification. In times of sharp price increases, scarcity of materials and exceptionally high energy costs, we will guide and advise our clients to make the right choices. That is: choosing the most sustainable solution, where the TCO (total cost of ownership) forms the basis."
