Maximum purified air remains essential

No one wants to work in a polluted and therefore unhealthy environment. Unfortunately, this is still the case for a large group of machine operators. In various industries such as (scrap) recycling, composting, soil remediation and demolition work, there is often insufficient attention and knowledge regarding clean cabin air. It is BMAir International's mission to improve that situation.

The solution for a healthy workplace for machine operators has been a tried and tested recipe for many years: the installation - as well as proper maintenance - of a professional filter overpressure system, which blows optimally filtered pressurized air into the cab. There is a BMAir filter overpressure system for every excavator, wheel loader, truck or forklift.

Director Robbert Boersma of the Nieuwkuijk-based company is very passionate when it comes to safety: "We are a producer of a professional and incorruptible safety product. Our goal is to offer our customers the workplace they deserve. Health comes first and our entire production process, the options one can choose, the installation and maintenance of the filter overpressure system are focused on that. Together, these four elements determine how efficiently and thoroughly the ambient air is filtered."

Increasing need

There is a pronounced need for clean cabin air within the international recycling industry. The exact composition of waste is often not 100% clear; there is often particulate matter or one is confronted with mold and bacteria. The fact that more and more work is done in (semi-)enclosed halls makes the problem and thus the need for good filter overpressure systems bigger every year. On top of that, behind the scenes (by governments and others) a lot of work is being done to develop and further roll out international regulations.

The development of this Dutch product focuses not only on the filter system itself. The controller also plays an increasingly important role. Great strides have recently been made in that area. Boersma continues: "In engineering our latest system, the MAO-3 Cab Guard, we also developed a new smart controller. With this Pac Smart Control, the RFID chips fitted in all BMAir filters can be read very easily. Among other things, this gives you very simple and direct insight into the type of filter, the operating hours of the filter and when it needs to be replaced. The data is written every two minutes to an integrated, sealed SD card and can therefore be read out later. The need for demonstrability by means of figures generated with 100% security is increasing. The combination of a BMAir filter system with Pac Smart controller offers optimum security for the operator himself, the employer as well as clients and, of course, safety experts."
