Lively Demo Days are an event unique to the industry

The Czech town of Dobris was recently the site of the latest version of a highly successful
event. The Bobcat Demo Days, an event unique to the industry has been held every year since 2011. Close to the capital city of Prague, the Dobris Campus has recently expanded further to include the new Doosan Bobcat headquarters for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The Dobris Campus is a unique location among Doosan Bobcat's many facilities around the world. The site houses not only the new headquarters, Innovation Center and training center for EMEA, but also the Bobcat factory, which produces a significant portion of the company's compact machines for EMEA and other regions.

Highest number of visitors ever

Showcasing not only existing products but also new developments, Demo Days 2019 was attended by more than 700 customers and dealers from across the EMEA region - the highest number ever. They took the opportunity to try out the full range of Bobcat loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers and attachments under working conditions. Recently launched products that made their first appearance at these Demo Days included the world's first one-tonne electric mini-excavator - the E10e - and the new range of Bobcat Waste Expert telehandlers.

New M series with Stage V engines

In the EMEA region, the first product line with the new styling is the new M Series with models S450, S510 and S530. They are also equipped with a specially developed Bobcat engine that meets Stage V standards. The new machines, which were on display for the first time at Demo Days, will be available in Europe from January 2020, when Stage V regulations will apply. The new Stage V M-Series loaders offer operators better performance, greater comfort and easier maintenance to maximize efficiency on the job site.

Skilled design has ensured that the new S450, S510 and S530 skid-steer loaders maintain small dimensions even with the built-in Bobcat Stage V engine. The machines have a truly compact size and low weight, making them easy to maneuver in tight spaces and easy to transport. The new Bobcat engine offers 37% more torque and quick recovery after overload compared to previous machines. This provides more comfort for the operator by allowing him to work at lower rpm with the same power, resulting in lower noise levels and fuel consumption.

New chargers in the R series

The next product line with the all-new design in EMEA will be the R-Series loaders, scheduled for launch in 2020. Bobcat previewed the R Series loaders at Demo Days with the new R Series S580 skid-steer loader and the T580 compact tracked loader. The new R-Series loaders offer better performance and comfort compared to their predecessors, providing more comfort and making less noise. They also feature a new one-piece cab design and a new LED lighting system for better visibility at night. More detailed machine operation information is available through the new standard 5-inch and optional 7-inch touch screen displays.

All R-Series loaders feature new cast steel front loader arms (20% stronger than the previous steel design). They also feature a newly designed cooling package in response to the demand for higher-capacity cooling. In addition, all R Series compact track loaders offer high stability thanks to the five-link torsion suspension that is now incorporated into all track loader models in the range.

Innovations HUB

The new Bobcat Innovations HUB, which was on display for the first time at Demo Days, provided space for the company's new ideas and prototypes being tested and aimed at improving productivity. One of the concept machines demonstrated at the show was the Bobcat Quad tracked loader with quad tires bolted onto the frame of Bobcat skid-steer loaders. The bolt-on/bolt-off design of the quad tracks means that the machines can now be even more versatile to suit the environment and applications in which they operate.

Another exciting Bobcat development at Demo Days was the Bobcat MaxControl system, a new, IOS (Apple) based, plug and play remote control. It uses a smartphone to control Bobcat loaders.
