Recently, Inther Group started a new expansion project at Pluripharm Group, a pharmaceutical wholesaler with a complete service and service package to support public, outpatient hospital pharmacies. For this expansion, a completely new hall was built to the existing warehouse. Pluripharm has been working with systems from Inther for about 15 years and this new expansion will facilitate the future growth of the pharmaceutical wholesaler.
Rick van Well, as Sales Engineer closely involved in the project with Pluripharm, explains, "Together with Pluripharm, we conducted an extensive design study beforehand to find the best concept. From this it emerged, that the existing A-Frames and Pick-by-Light workstations will remain. But the old Kardex cabinets, which contain the slow-moving articles, will be replaced by a modern shuttle system with over 11,500 locations and ten receiving workstations. To pick the items, five Inther Goods-to-Person stations will be installed on a mezzanine. With a new conveyor system totaling one kilometer in length, we are increasing Pluripharm's system capacity, in part by allowing order totes to take shortcuts when finished in one of the three picking areas."
"With this expansion project, we are further strengthening the mutual cooperation towards the future. The expansion will be fully completed in the first half of 2026, with us already looking forward to more opportunities to further support Pluripharm in their intralogistics," added Martijn Herder (CEO of Inther Group).
The expansion of the existing Inther system for Pluripharm includes the following components:
