Ironclad in attachments and attachments

The company has a rock-solid supply program of leading brands of attachments and attachments. DemTech has a strong presence in the demolition, recycling and infrastructure sectors. Director Arthur Polak gives us an inside look and updates us on the latest developments.

As much as 850 bar in the cylinder

"We have surrounded ourselves with parties that excel in their fields," says Arthur. "For example, we have long worked with Japan's NPK, the first attachment manufacturer to prove that you can also squeeze (and pulverize) concrete instead of chopping it. Many parties try in vain to copy the attachments. As the only one in the world, NPK manages to create 850 bar in the cylinder. The concept is unparalleled. But the Japanese manufacturer is not sitting still. The quality of concrete is increasing, more iron is used in structures, which means that more power and energy are needed to get it "broken. Hard work is being done in Japan to build even more efficient machines for today's construction methods."

Unmatched quick changes

Since 2018, DemTech has also been a supplier of Lenhoff, the market leader in attachments for excavators. Arthur: "Lenhoff's quick couplings are also second to none. Their big advantage is that they can work with 18- to 40-ton cranes with a 550-liter oil throughput without return pressure. Return pressure puts a lot of stress on the hydraulic system, with components getting hotter. The result is faster wear of the seals; they are more likely to need overhaul. Incidentally, there are also attachments that are already fundamentally unable to withstand return pressure and therefore do not function optimally. Lenhoff has that well taken care of. The quick couplings are not new - 200,000 of them have already been produced - but they still measure up."

Scrap shears

The third global brand that DemTech carries is LaBounty, known since the 1970s for mobile scrap shears. "LaBounty owes its strong position in the market to producing very good scrap shears that run worry-free production with low maintenance costs," Arthur knows from experience. "At the BAUMA earlier this year, the updated versions were presented. The design of the upper jaw has been changed, a higher apex provides more cutting force and the interchangeable blades on the front are now fully enclosed. The same blade is now used on the left and right, which again minimizes maintenance and welding work on the shears."

Rental Program

In addition to selling attachments and attachments, DemTech also has a broad rental program that includes shears, pulverizers and hammers for 0.7- to 80-ton cranes. "That way we can keep our customers running as usual during maintenance. After all, nine times out of ten, equipment breaks down at times that are not convenient. Because we work with a small team we can assist our customers well with the right advice. This is an important factor, especially for attachments. Finally, we also sell young used machines from our rental fleet, always with a 3-month warranty included," Arthur Polak concludes.
