Hyundai Construction Equipment in Europe (HCEE) announced at the world's largest machinery exhibition Bauma 2019 that they will apply the stepless proportional control system DC2 to its excavators ex-factory. This decision means that excavators from Hyundai will be ready for use with Engcon swivels from delivery. "We are naturally proud to have become Hyundai's preferred supplier," says Krister Blomgren director of Engcon.
The first model of an Engcon-prepared excavator was introduced at Bauma Fair 2019. The Engcon control system DC2 and MIG2 control levers are integrated directly into the excavator, and simplify the attachment of an Engcon rotary attachment.
"We are pleased and proud that Hyundai will be preparing their excavators for our rotary tilt attachments. More and more manufacturers are seeing the potential of our products and the extent to which they can make their excavators more effective. In some cases, a rotary tilt attachment can make excavators like this 50% more effective," said Krister Blomgren, director of Engcon.
In the initial phase, Hyundai's excavators with equipment from Engcon will be available exclusively in the European market. The ultimate goal is to offer it globally in the future.
"We think it makes sense to start on the European market. Europe is not only ready for this technology in several ways, but it is also closer for us in Sweden to be able to properly assist Hyundai in the initial phase of our cooperation," said Krister Blomgren.
Hyundai explains the decision as follows, "We see tremendous potential in Engcon's rotary tilters, as they simplify work and make it more efficient. This is why we preferred to integrate this solution into our machines," says Peter Sebold, product specialist at HCEE.
