The milestone demonstrates the proven reliability of the Skypod System and highlights Exotec's rapidly growing global install base
Today, Exotec, the global specialist in warehouse robots, announces that its Skypod robots have reached a major operational milestone, performing more than one million cycles daily worldwide. This highlights Exotec's commitment to reliable, high-quality solutions that strengthen supply chains worldwide.
Each cycle represents the act of a robot picking up a bin, taking it to a picking station and returning it to storage. A single cycle can process up to four orders, reducing the time and effort required by warehouse workers to meet customer demand.
In a traditional warehouse, a warehouse worker travels an average of 10 kilometers per day. Thanks to Exotec's goods-to-person system, warehouse workers save thousands of steps per day by no longer having to manually pick items. This increases order picking productivity fivefold.
Since its founding, Exotec has experienced tremendous growth, reaching 100 million cycles within five years. Today, it would take the company just three months to reach the same milestone.
