Exotec warehouse robots achieve more than one million cycles daily and guarantee an uptime of 99% worldwide

The milestone demonstrates the proven reliability of the Skypod System and highlights Exotec's rapidly growing global install base

Today, Exotec, the global specialist in warehouse robots, announces that its Skypod robots have reached a major operational milestone, performing more than one million cycles daily worldwide. This highlights Exotec's commitment to reliable, high-quality solutions that strengthen supply chains worldwide.

Each cycle represents the act of a robot picking up a bin, taking it to a picking station and returning it to storage. A single cycle can process up to four orders, reducing the time and effort required by warehouse workers to meet customer demand.

In a traditional warehouse, a warehouse worker travels an average of 10 kilometers per day. Thanks to Exotec's goods-to-person system, warehouse workers save thousands of steps per day by no longer having to manually pick items. This increases order picking productivity fivefold.

Since its founding, Exotec has experienced tremendous growth, reaching 100 million cycles within five years. Today, it would take the company just three months to reach the same milestone.

Some recent highlights of Exotec's growth:

  • Global expansion: To meet its growing global business, Exotec has significantly expanded its global presence. The company has opened larger offices in Atlanta and Munich and is entering new markets, including Austriaand South Korea.
  • Team Growth: The company now has 1,300 employees. Exotec expects additional staff growth of 25% by 2025 to meet increasing demand.
  • Customer sites: Exotec also expanded its installation network to more than 135 customer sites worldwide, including new sites in North America, Europe and the APAC region.

Romain Moulin, CEO and co-founder of Exotec, looks back on the growth of recent years:
"Reaching one million daily cycles is a huge milestone. It reflects the level of confidence our customers have in us to support and drive their supply chain operations on a daily basis. This achievement highlights the reliability of our systems as we continue to expand our facilities worldwide."
