The birthday boy has a treat!

Those with a birthday, treats!

This year Inter-Techno celebrates its fortieth anniversary. Initially the anniversary was going to be celebrated in a big way, but due to current events the party has been put on hold for a while. The importer and dealer of Bobcat and Weycor cannot be taken for granted and is celebrating its anniversary with very interesting discount offers. Not only because of the anniversary, but also to support entrepreneurs and reduce the financial impact of this crisis.

Since its founding in 1980, Inter-Techno has become the largest supplier of Bobcat in the Netherlands, known for its skid-steer loaders, excavators, telehandlers and attachments, among others. "In 1997, we additionally obtained the exclusive dealership of Atlas Wheel Loaders, renamed Weycor since 2016," says Berrie Boer of Inter-Techno. "The products have remained the same, but the rollers and wheel loaders are now called Weycor. With Bobcat and Weycor we represent two strong brands and we do offer an interesting solution for every issue. Whether or not in combination with the offerings of our sister companies 123 Machine Rental and Gencom, importer and dealer of Doosan Portable Power systems, such as light towers, generators and compressors."

For Bobcat, all new models of telescopic handlers and excavators are equipped with Stage V engines that meet the latest emissions requirements.

Nationwide service department

Inter-Techno operates from its headquarters in Apeldoorn, but has national coverage. "We also have our own branches in Breda, Zevenhuizen and Dronten," continues Berrie. "In combination with the twelve branches of our sister company 123 Machine Rental, we are always near our customers and relations. With the three companies, Inter-Techno, 123 Machineverhuur and Gencom, we have now set up a national service department. With eight service buses, our mechanics are active throughout the country to serve customers as quickly and well as possible. This enables us to respond quickly to any breakdowns, carry out (planned) maintenance or even make adjustments to equipment. All our mechanics are retrained every year at the training center in Dobris in the Czech Republic and therefore know the machines like the back of their hand."

Multifunctional demolition machine

Virtually all machines supplied by Inter-Techno are equipped with state-of-the-art Stage V engines. "Some of the range is even available in an electric version. For Bobcat, all new models of telescopic handlers and excavators are equipped with Stage V engines that meet the latest emission requirements. The same applies to the majority of the skid-steer loaders. Bobcat skid-steer loaders are very popular in the demolition world, according to Berrie. "It is the most maneuverable machine out there and can rotate completely around its axis. And with the toolcarrier, attachments can be changed quickly and easily, such as demolition hammer, industrial bucket with pincer, carpet stripper, and so on. In short, a multifunctional machine for the demolition world. By the way, a completely new generation of skid-steer loaders will follow at the end of this year, which should ensure that the top position in this market will be further strengthened."

The first mass-produced electric mini excavator

As a leading dealer/importer  of Bobcat, Inter-Techno is closely involved in the development of the E10e, the first mass-produced electric mini-excavator. "We were designated as a pilot dealer and tested the prototype extensively with some customers," Berrie says with appropriate pride. "Feedback from our customers was reported directly to the factory. Meanwhile, the E10e is available for order. The zero tail swing (ZTS) mini-excavator in the one-ton class has zero emissions, is very quiet and, with a width of only 72 centimeters, is perfectly maneuverable. Its high torque makes it stronger than the diesel version, making it perfect for use in demolition, rental and contracting. A number of landscaping companies have already shown interest as well. On one battery charge, the machine can run autonomously for four hours. By then connecting the machine to an optional external Bobcat supercharger, the lithium-ion battery pack can be recharged during the operator's break to continue the working day."

The whole world is talking about emission-free equipment and a lot is especially promised, but outside of Bobcat, only a few manufacturers are putting their money where their mouth is, Berrie sums up. "More electric variants will follow in the coming years." But Inter-Techno itself is not sitting still either. "We also build customized machines for customers. For example, we have already converted several 1- and 2-ton cranes to a hybrid version by adding an electric motor behind the existing diesel engine. That enables the operator to run completely low-emission."
