The 8-ton midi-excavators have a kerb weight between 8,065 and 8,260 kg and are available with rubber tracks as well as on steel driving plates. The ViO series logically benefits from Yanmar's unmatched experience in building machines with a Zero Tail Swing. Since the introduction of the ZTS concept in 1995, Yanmar has been No. 1 in developing compact excavators. Putting the operator at the center of the design has created a universal concept that emphasizes ergonomics. The space provided contributes greatly to safety and comfort. The operator has a workstation with excellent all-round visibility to increase safety on the job site and improve efficiency. In addition, the air-sprung seat offers many adjustment options for an optimal working posture, so that you get out of work energized after a long working day.

The Yanmar midis perform extremely quietly, in short, ideal in urban areas where space is limited. Both the ViO82 and ViO80-2PB are equipped with a Yanmar 4TNV98C-WBV1 diesel engine, which is the result of continuous efforts to achieve technical mastery in terms of fuel consumption and emissions. When it comes to industrial power sources, Yanmar also ranks among the world's best, which translates into state-of-the-art technology adopted by many renowned OEMs. The four-cylinder of 41.5 kW (55.6 hp) equipped with a direct-injected common-rail system, which in addition to cleaner combustion also guarantees optimal operating conditions for the engine. Exhaust gas recirculation significantly reduces nitrogen oxide emissions and a unique regeneration system including particulate filter should prevent downtime due to cleaning.

Smooth operation 

An electronic control unit manages speed based on torque to optimize engine load. This improves productivity and, like Eco mode and an automatic idle mode, helps reduce consumption. The ViO82 also features Yanmar's new ViPPS2i hydraulic system, where it is possible to combine the flow of the two load-sensing piston pumps to optimally match the need for travel speed, power or oil flow. Proper balance offers the operator greater ease of use and reduces pressure loss during combined boom and swing operations. Thus, all operations can be performed smoothly and simultaneously.
