'Automation still offers logistics companies many efficiency opportunities'

No intralogistics solution is set up exactly the same. In addition, based on market developments, companies are increasingly forced to adapt processes, for example by automating. This is exactly the reason why, according to Matthias van Eyndhoven and Bob Koorevaar, Easy Systems is fully committed to three aspects: flexibility, modularity and innovation.

Easy Systems has experienced strong development in recent years. From being a supplier to integrators and machine builders, the company transformed itself into an integrator. Present in Belgium and the Netherlands, it focuses emphatically on the logistics market and serves a broad group of companies active in warehousing, e-commerce and production. Matthias van Eyndhoven, responsible for business development in Belgium: "We emphatically dare to think out of the box. With that, we go through to the final round of a tender and we often win it."

Investing in automation

Companies are increasingly daring to invest in automation for several reasons. Higher customer demands and more speed in processes are important, in addition, finding suitable personnel is difficult. Van Eyndhoven: "Automation can even lead to cost savings in this regard." What both gentlemen also increasingly see is that companies need help in making choices. Koorevaar: "Making an existing process more efficient is a good solution, but how do you do that? That's where we help." Van Eyndhoven: "Sometimes manufacturers or logistics service providers have their own engineers, but are still looking for a sounding board or fresh perspective. Because we have already supplied so many clients in various industries, we can support, even by applying ideas from industry A to industry B."

Missing links for intralogistics processes

In working out efficient intralogistics processes, Easy Systems uses proprietary and proven solutions complemented by best-of-breed tools. It supplies its own conveyors, switching mats and slats, roller conveyors for light and medium goods and systems for pallet transport. Koorevaar: "Conveyors don't have to be expensive, but they can be the missing link between an automated goods storage system and a warehouse employee who therefore gets goods delivered simply. There are more solutions where the ROI is usually short." Easy Systems is also not tied to one type of conveyors, but works with a full range of solutions. Thereby, various combinations of conveyor systems are possible, from standard to customized.

Long customer relationships

Precisely because there is great pressure on companies to work more flexibly and adjust processes regularly, Easy Systems succeeds in adding value. A modular system gives a company more opportunity to respond to growth. Koorevaar: "Incidentally, we are not in it for the quick win. Thinking along with a customer and growing it yields more for both us and the customer, including a longer relationship." There is no shortage of work at the integrator. Van Eyndhoven: "If the pressure really gets too much, we can enlist the help of our partner and parent company BOA Concept."

From advice to opportunities

The market Easy Systems is entering still offers a lot of opportunities, the two argue. "There are many opportunities to turn small investments into high returns. What we notice above all is that a large group of companies still has much more to offer. Advice can do wonders in this regard, especially if it comes from a team with a lot of experience in multiple sectors."
