Linde Material Handling presents revamped automation portfolio at first Linde Automation Summit
According to Ulrike Just, Executive Vice President Sales and Services Linde MH EMEA, the market is at a tipping point. “The current generation of automation systems is significantly more user-friendly, efficient and quicker to implement. This creates a favorable environment for companies looking to invest in sustainable improvements to their material flows.” She emphasizes that the expertise within Linde MH's international sales and service organization plays a central role in the successful implementation of automation projects. “Our specialists accurately recognize which solution matches the customer's specific need and accompany the complete process from initial analysis to operational phase.”
The stacker, reach truck and VNA truck product lines have recently been completely revised. Combined with AMR applications, shuttle systems and warehouse racking, it creates a modular toolkit that can be used to precisely configure and automate a variety of logistics environments. This approach allows for customization without sacrificing efficiency or scalability.

One of the most eye-catching innovations is the Linde RoCaP (Robotic Case Picker). The automated stacker, equipped with an intelligent robotic arm, was developed in cooperation with drugstore chain ROSSMANN and is based on the automated stacker Linde L-MATIC HD k. The robot arm places goods directly from a rack onto the forks and also offers specific functionality for applications with roll containers. The solution eases the physical strain on employees and increases processing speed in warehouses with heavy and bulky goods.
Also previewed was the Linde E-MATIC, Linde MH's first automated forklift for outdoor use. The truck has a lifting capacity of up to 2.3 tons and features a lithium ion battery and advanced navigation and safety technology. Initially suitable for horizontal transport, the E-MATIC will be expanded in later development phases to include navigation for indoor and outdoor environments and it will be capable of loading and unloading trucks sideways. Pre-series projects will start in 2026. Market launch is expected to follow in 2027.
“With the introduction of the first version of this forklift, we have successfully automated the most important product of our Linde brand,” Just said. “Our goal is to be the first major material handling manufacturer to put the truck into series production. This is a direct response to the numerous requests we have received from our customers and it reinforces our claim to be a technological leader in our industry.”
The event also offered insight into the application of AI and digital twins within logistics automation. Through NVIDIA Omniverse, real-time digital representations can be linked to physical AGV systems. This makes it possible to simulate and optimize processes without disrupting the operational environment. In addition, the deployment of portable 3D laser scanners speeds up the preliminary project phases. Within an hour, an accurate three-dimensional representation of a warehouse environment is captured. This digital basis eliminates the need for additional site visits and increases the quality of project planning. The first customer applications are planned for 2026.
The newly introduced software platform MATIC:move supports organizations in quickly shaping material flows without complex programming knowledge. Thanks to a low-code approach, commissioning is significantly shortened. For situations requiring more complexity, MATIC:move+ offers additional functionalities and interfaces. Integration of trucks from other brands is possible through the Linde Warehouse Manager and VDA 5050 compatibility. The combination of flexibility, scalability and transparency makes the platform suitable for both small-scale and extensive automation projects.
Safety remains a central consideration in all Linde MH products. Multiple sensor systems and visual signaling ensure safe interaction between man and machine.
