Ronald Elbers 25 years at the helm of VSE Industrial Automation

Schoonhoven, May 19, 2022 - Ronald Elbers is today exactly 25 years director-owner of VSE Industrial Automation in Schoonhoven. A festive day for colleagues and former colleagues.

On May 19, 1997, Ronald Elbers took over the company Van Schelven Elektrotechniek (VSE) in Schoonhoven. Under his leadership, the former installation company transformed into a high-end industrial automation and motion control specialist with renowned clients. VSE Industrial Automation is a valued partner for end users, system suppliers, machine builders and other organizations in the industrial chain. Together with them, the company works on smart and optimal integration of mechanics, electronics and software.

Knowledge and quality

VSE Industrial Automation automates and optimizes industrial and infrastructural processes for a large number of customers in various sectors, such as industry, production, food, construction and infrastructure. The approximately 40 employees work daily on various challenging and diverse projects; from the energy-neutral automation of the Ramspol bridge to the conversion and optimization of a production line for water ices. All employees have in-depth knowledge of system automation and a passion for technology, robotics and IT. Within VSE, two-thirds of the employees are engineers.

Human engine

"People are the engine," Ronald Elbers said during his anniversary celebration. "That's why I like to keep providing growth opportunities. Many colleagues have been loyal to us for many years. I am proud of their development, but also of the people who have left us to build fine careers elsewhere. Furthermore, I am grateful for the good relationships we maintain with our partners and customers. Strong ties are everything, because you do it together."

2024 is anniversary year

Another big anniversary is coming up in 2 years: in 2024, VSE Industrial Automation will be 50 years old.
