The Belgian family business A&C Noyens strives for perfection in development, application and finishing of products it supplies. "If solidity is important, you have to be with us," says Hans Noyens, one of three brothers who continue their parents' company. "We have just developed a completely new product: a 4-axle trailer."
At A&C Noyens, you get a unique custom product that is also produced entirely in-house. "We do the design, drawing and strength calculations all ourselves," says Noyens. "Then comes the production process, where we do the chassis production, welding, laser cutting and also the bending all in-house."
"We look at the customer's wishes, the requirements of laws and regulations and the application for which it will be used." Noyens works with robust, high-quality materials because, after all, trailers, loading containers, semi-trailers or truck bodies have to be able to take a beating. All products are hot-dip galvanized, with an optional extra coat of paint in the customer's preferred corporate color. Hardwood floorboards are used for the floor.
"We developed a 4-axle trailer for a customer who ordered as many as seven of them," Noyens reports proudly. "The 4-axle trailer, with two axles at the front and two axles at the rear, is made in two weight classes. A lighter variant up to 32 tons in total weight, with a smaller tire size and thus a lower loading floor, around 80 cm, which is suitable for transporting taller machines that do not weigh as much. There is also a variant with normal flatbed tires with a floor height of 90 cm, which can handle a total weight of up to 44 tons. Ideal for transporting somewhat heavier equipment, such as excavators, rollers and bulldozers. It can also hang behind a normal truck, with tipper truck for example."
Both trailers are light in weight but enormously strong in load capacity, according to Noyens. "They are so strong because we used high tensile strengths in steels when building the trailers," he explains. Of course, everything has been tested (TÜV) and the trailer is equipped with TÜV-approved anchoring points. Noyens notes that inspections are certainly being carried out in Belgium, but also increasingly in the Netherlands. "In itself a good thing," thinks Noyens, "because safety is hugely important."
With the delivery of these seven 4-axle trailers, A&C Noyens is not only ensuring a robust trailer, but also that the customer's cargo can be transported safely and responsibly.
