New generation of compact excavators is coming to Europe!

Performance and comfort come together in the new generation of compact excavators, soon available in Europe. We are talking about the new Bobcat R2 series, equipped with Stage V engines. These excavators fall within the 5 and 6 ton class and offer the best mix of high performance, excellent stability and smooth operation of working functions. This new series introduces many advanced features, such as an automatic track chain tensioning system, a 7-inch display and an improved level of quality and robustness.

Built around the driver

The new R2 series takes over the torch from the R series machines and in keeping with the Bobcat philosophy already expressed in the R series, the R2 series has been developed even more around the operator. The operator will experience the cab as a real home, thanks to the available space. This is reflected in the available head, leg and storage space. The seat is comfortable, can be optionally equipped with heating, or with a headrest.

Superior stability

Even when digging over the side or handling heavier loads, the R2 Series excels in superior 360-degree stability. The improved counterweight design and dual bottom rollers guarantee this stability, thus gaining operator confidence.

High performance with optimal operability

The new excavators feel like an extension of the operator's hands. Responsible for this is state-of-the-art technology, such as the latest generation main control valve, dual curve joysticks and proportional, thumb-controlled boom adjustment, combined with Bobcat's traditional high performance.

Suitable for any type of attachment

Thanks to up to 5 arm-mounted hydraulic auxiliary lines and award-winning Advanced Selectable Auxiliary Control (A-SAC) technology, the machine can be adapted to any type of attachment, making these excavators excellent tool carriers. The robustness of the machines is phenomenal. Heavy steel side channels and counterweight act as a bumper and protect essential components. The patented optional cylinder in the boom provides maximum protection of the boom cylinder and load pickup valve.

Top-level panoramic visibility is the cornerstone of precise and safe working. With unsurpassed visibility from the cab, the operator is fully aware of the work area around the machine. Features such as powerful defogger, LED lighting, intermittent wiper and heated rear window ensure unobstructed visibility in all conditions.
