New strategic partnership between Simac PHI DATA and BlooLoc

Joining forces for optimized warehouse efficiency

Smart Edge specialist Simac PHI DATA is going to work closely with its Belgian sector colleague BlooLoc. Thanks to the combined expertise of Simac PHI DATA and BlooLoc, warehouses are managed more efficiently. 

"Logistics is by nature very efficient," says Kurt Nauwelaerts, responsible for Simac PHI DATA's Integrated Solutions division. "But with ever-increasing volumes and labor shortages, new challenges are emerging. BlooLoc's yooBeeEYE solution gives logistics managers a very visual overview of what is where in a warehouse."

yooBeeEYE by BlooLoc is a good addition to the logistics solutions that Simac PHI DATA already has around inventory management and warehousing. yooBeeEYE is a warehousing platform based on Artificial Intelligence. By placing optical sensors on forklifts, the warehouse manager always knows where a pallet is, without having to scan it. Anyone who works in logistics has experienced with shame what it costs if a pallet cannot be found, or is shipped incorrectly. "Logistics is becoming increasingly complex," says Kurt Nauwelaerts. "Pallets used to be stored up to four high, now it is not exceptional for them to be seven or eight high. Even with the most advanced scanning solutions, that can lead to a higher error rate. The more pallets there are, the greater the chance of errors in recording the goods. BlooLoc offers a solution to that. The optical sensors provide the warehouse manager with a dashboard on which he can see live all movements, of both forklifts and pallets. 

Simac PHI DATA is not only going to offer BlooLoc's yooBeeEYE solution , the company also offers a whole service around it, from advice on setting up the solution and the actual implementation of it, to building integrations with the warehouse management systems in use at a company. If no WMS is present yet, Simac PHI DATA's own solution IDstock® can be offered. In addition, yooBeeEYE is a platform on which new functionality can be built to create an even more comprehensive whole.
