Large network of technical specialists

As a nationwide technical staffing company, the company is a market leader in the secondment of technical professionals in the infrastructure sector, civil engineering and construction and installation engineering, among others. Voort is a 'preferred suplier' of technical personnel for many renowned infrastructure companies, but also for (semi-)governmental authorities, consultancy and engineering firms, network managers and water boards. There's a reason for that.

"We bring companies and subject matter experts together," begins Annemijn Best Operational Manager Region West at Voort. "Working together for growth, that's our strength. By looking beyond the standard paths, by asking the right questions and by wanting to know more, we look for the questions of tomorrow. We are a nationwide agency, but have a strong regional focus through our regional offices. Specifically for the infrastructure sector, we second technical specialists for the civil market, energy technology (grid operators), but also, for example, specialists in geo-information, from surveyors to data processors and programmers."

From MBO to WO

The technical specialists each have their own background and baggage. "As part of The Employment Group (TEG), we benefit from economies of scale in knowledge, development and innovation while retaining our entrepreneurship so that we can even better grow our professionals. We second technicians from MBO-plus to WO level," Best continued. "Our pool of technicians includes not only many experienced 'senior profiles' but also a nice group of starters with zero to two years of work experience. The latter is the result of intensive campus recruitment at colleges and universities. We have been able to attract a serious group of Young Professionals. In recent years, we have helped more than 150 young technicians find a job this way. For the major infrastructure contractors, we are a preferred supplier and take care of the HR part. In doing so, we often already make a preselection, so they can focus much better on the content."

According to Best, Voort is more than a staffing firm. "We are an employer, investing in training, education and development of professionals and our own employees. Basically, we take everyone on contract and then second them for a year. Almost without exception, employment with the client follows after that year. Through our sister organization 'koen', we second comparable technicians to various clients on an interim basis for a fixed period. In this way, we offer our clients optimum flexibility."
