Engcon increases sales for ninth consecutive year

The operating results of Engcon, manufacturer of turntables, make it clear that 2018 was a particularly successful year. Engcon Holding's strong growth continues, confirming its position as a world-leading manufacturer within the sector. Sales increased by SEK 137 billion to SEK 1.2 billion, and operating income ended at SEK 157 million. Sales successes in the Netherlands and France in particular were unprecedented. Continued product development and a steadily growing assortment of safe and efficient products are also key to success.

"Making good sales is all about providing good quality products that exceed customer expectations. We are known for our good service and products and therefore have loyal customers. We also strive to reduce costs and increase revenues so that we can continue to invest to further develop our business," says Krister Blomgren, managing director of Engcon Holding.

Engcon predicts increasing global market demand
It is estimated that 2% of all excavators in the world currently have an Engcon rotary attachment on them, and that means huge market potential. For example, the US and Japan are markets where there are many challenges in the construction industry in the coming years. There is a great demand there for both more efficient and safer working methods, which fits well with Engcon's product range.

"We are convinced that our rotary, automatic and safe quick couplings are an answer to today's construction challenges. Our mission is to change the excavator industry and make it more effective," said Krister Blomgren.

Engcon, currently accounting for 44% of the total turntable market, is well prepared for the increasing global demand in the coming years.

"We are making our processes more effective and prefer to invest profits in growing production and delivery capacity to become even better. Our goal is to stay one step ahead of developments and our positive result makes this a lot easier" says Krister Blomgren.

Exciting investments, new opportunities for success
In fall 2019, Engcon is initiating new exciting cooperation projects, recruiting more personnel for key positions within sales and continuing to work on the standardization of its safe quick couplings. Investments that ensure Engcon further strengthens its position in relation to the market and end users.
