Inpieq takes data registration in foundation industry to higher level

Voorbij Funderingstechniek's new Woltman 160 DR is equipped with Inpieq's DLS data recording system. In this way, relevant data is collected from each pile or pipe that adds value for both client and contractor.

Over the years, a close cooperation has developed between machine manufacturer Woltman and Inpieq. The Steenbergen-based company has even become the permanent partner of this Giessenburg manufacturer in the field of data recording. In the case of Voorbij, the crane had already been prepared for 80%, and the final installation of such a Data Logging System (DLS) was virtually plug-and-play. A next step is for the system to be fully integrated into the equipment, as is already the case with Inpieq's own compact foundation machines.

Piling, drilling or vibrating

Beyond can record all kinds of pile systems thanks to DLS, whether piling (vibro and concrete), drilling or vibrating piles (larger diameter HSP piles). Depending on the pile type and the sensors required, various parameters can be recorded, including depth, speed, strut position, drilling speed, torque, pulling force, stroke frequency, working pressure, grout volume and fill rate. This may sound quite complicated, but Inpieq's data recording system actually excels in simplicity, accuracy and robustness.

Inpieq lifts data registration in foundation industry to next level 1
Voorbij's new Woltman 160 DR is equipped with Inpieq's Data Logging System for accurate pile logging.

"Our goal has always been to develop a user-friendly system for the operator," says Frank van Deursen of Inpieq. "This automatically creates reliable data transfer to the office. Thanks to proven hardware, DLS is virtually error-free. Then you're really talking about 99% accuracy. Combined with the optional GPS system for positioning, even one push of a button is enough to apply a pole fully automatically and the operator for 100% can focus on the project and his passion."

Extensive database

Whereas the data collected previously served solely as proof to clients, Van Deursen now sees a clear trend of using data to broaden the level of knowledge. Foundation companies are creating a complete database in order to be able to tender for projects more intelligently. After all, all data on drilling duration and soil conditions are available.

"In addition, regulations are on the way, requiring the submission of a quality dossier of the delivered product. The Inpieq Data Suite (IDS) already offers the possibility of adding raw data to one's own database via a web-based application, allowing real-time on-site viewing or uploading a piece of work preparation from the office into the system. The operator no longer has to work with a pile plan, which further reduces the margin of error, and all measurement data is added directly to the file."
