What an honor to work on this colorful traffic circle. With a weight of 8000kg and a length of 9 meters, the Bromtol is a real eye-catcher.
We are therefore very proud of winning the tender, which was issued by the municipality of Oosterhout. Alderman Clèmens Piena signed the agreement.
The purpose of the reconstruction is to improve traffic flow. Therefore the traffic circle around the structure will be changed into a five-axis turborotonde with bicycle tunnel. This change will ensure that the traffic pressure during the evening rush hour at Weststad business park will be significantly reduced. Motorists, work and bicycle traffic will benefit.
Implementation will start in September 2020. Meanwhile, we have already started in a construction team with the municipality of Oosterhout to realize the design and make some preparations. For example, cables and pipes are already being moved, and permits are being granted in a timely manner. During realization, a full-fledged bypass will be constructed to ensure the flow of traffic.
The Oosterhout municipality's request included sustainability and landscaping as important requirements. We can fulfill this wish because we specialize in constructing circular traffic circles with an eye for the environment and ecology. The existing ecological connection zone will be improved and in the construction of the traffic circle we use sustainable concrete. This is manufactured from renewable materials and cement substitutes. Thus, this traffic circle has a longer life span than, for example, an asphalt traffic circle. Let's build a sustainable future!
