Dexion demonstrates both conventional and state-of-the-art storage solutions at Transport & Logistics 2025

After several years of absence, Dexion is once again signing up for Transport & Logistics 2025 this fall. General Manager Guido De Cock sees the trade fair as the moment to show that Dexion is much more than just pallet racks and shelving: a producer-partner that grows with customers, from conventional to ultra-modern. "We don't just come to demonstrate. Above all, we want to show how, with the right choices today, you can be ready for tomorrow," he says.

Guido De Cock notices that the demand for semi-automation and smart mechanization in warehouse environments is growing rapidly. "The reality is simple: talent is scarce and expensive. Solutions that increase productivity without importing complexity are rapidly gaining ground," he says. That trend makes Transport & Logistics 2025 a strategic stop for Dexion: "We want to break the outdated image that we do 'just those pallet and shelf racks.' We are a complete provider, and let everyone see that."

One of the crowd-pleasers will be a working demo model of the MOVO mobile shelving unit. "MOVO is an excellent demonstration of how to maximize storage capacity per square meter without losing accessibility," said De Cock. In addition, Dexion will present on video its full range, with an emphasis on P90 pallet systems, LS3 large bay racking, HI280 shelving, storage machines, shuttle systems and Pull-Out Units (POU), a smart asset for order picking. "We couple that with decades of industry experience, so our advice is truly objective."

Notable warehouse trends

According to De Cock, the market continues on two tracks: automate where it pays off, mechanize where it pays off faster. "Medium-sized companies don't have to go 'full-blown' right away. With a multistore HI280 in combination with conveyors, or with pallet shuttle concepts where relevant, you often already make the biggest gains: shorter walking lines, higher density, fewer errors." That focus aligns with the broader quest for cost savings as well as employee retention.

Manufacturer, warranty, continuity

"We design and make our solutions ourselves. This allows us to carry out quality control from A to Z, provide customization where necessary and give long-term assurance," De Cock points out. Dexion offers a ten-year warranty on static solutions and ensures an exceptionally long backorder. "That combination is scarce in the market. Customers know: as our needs grow, Dexion grows with them, without having to reinvent the wheel." 

The booth is deliberately set up for substantive conversations. "We want to get to the heart of the matter with visitors in five minutes: what does your logistics flow look like, what's blocking it, what intermediate step will deliver effect tomorrow? Sometimes that's a POU solution at one critical pick zone, sometimes a MOVO route or a thorough reclassification. Small decisions, big impact." Visitors will also get to see concrete references, including Volvo, Dely Wafles and Fruit Services Collective (FSC).

Near the Belgian-Dutch border, FSC built an efficient ready-to-eat operation with advanced ripening technology from an empty warehouse and - after weighing alternatives - chose an innovative mechanical pushback system with flat trolleys from Dexion. Together with them, details such as pallet stops and maintenance access were cleverly integrated. Result: about 440 pallets of storage per cold room, good for a capacity increase of about 550 percent versus the starting situation with floor storage. "This is exactly the kind of pragmatic progress we stand for," confirms Dexion's General Manager.
