DistriSort's Standard Fashion Sorter is the ideal sorting solution for smaller companies and scale-ups. The pre-configured Split Tray Sorter is specially developed for (growing) companies that seriously consider an automatic sorting solution, but for whom the investment in a tailor-made solution is not (yet) feasible. The Standard Fashion Sorter delivers savings almost immediately and makes the logistics process faster, better and more efficient. "With the Standard Fashion Sorter, sorting becomes feasible and affordable, without compromising on quality and technology."
The Standard Fashion Sorter is a "best of," based on many years of practical experience in various industries, including the apparel industry, says Gerbrand van Schooneveld, Strategic Technical Sales Manager at DistriSort. "The sorter is a derivative of the DistriSort Split Tray Sorter, such as there are already dozens running at international (high-street) clothing brands and e-commerce companies, among others. During development, we combined over 20 years of practical experience, current sorting requirements and trends in the (clothing) industry into a 'preconfigured sorter'. No technical concessions were made. Because the Standard Fashion Sorter is built from standardized components, we can build faster and cheaper." The Standard Fashion Sorter is already interesting from 2.5 to 3 million clothing items per year, he says. "This also puts the sorter within reach of somewhat smaller companies and scale-ups."
"Most fashion companies deal with flat items (flatware), which are processed directly into a box or bin," Van Schooneveld says. "These boxes and bins often have a standard size of 600×400 mm. The footprint of our Standard Fashion Sorter is laid out exactly for this. Thanks to a patented and synchronized tray construction, all flatware fashion items can be easily, properly and quickly shed and stacked in the box or bin. This allows companies to supply their stores or customers even faster." What is interesting here is that orders can also be easily grouped (badged), after which they are picked in one wave. "This can save a lot of time and people. A godsend at a time when order pickers are becoming increasingly scarce."
Both in quality and capacity (standard: 7,200 trays per hour), the Standard Fashion Sorter is not inferior to DistriSort's tailor-made sorting solutions, Van Schooneveld emphasizes. "The materials used are exactly the same and additional options are also (limited) possible. The number of exits, for example, can be easily, quickly and incrementally expanded in standard modules of 12 exits." The modular design also allows the Standard Fashion Sorter to be moved easily. Even in a different configuration. "This offers a solution, for example, for (internal) relocations or expansions."
The Standard Fashion Sorter is a modern and affordable Split Tray Sorter in a standard of-the-shelf configuration. "With the development, we meet the needs of scale-ups, for example, who want to keep a grip on their growth ambitions and not be held back by external factors such as staff shortages," said Van Schooneveld. "The standard (preconfigured) sorting solution can be up and running in as little as six months. Improved efficiency, speed and a healthy ROI are measurable from day one. There is also another big advantage: the small footprint (48 exits on approximately 60 m2)."
The Standard Fashion Sorter is the only sorter in the market with financing options. "This is another unique fact, which we are very proud of and which can make the purchase even more attractive for many companies," Van Schooneveld said. Recently, a first Standard Fashion Sorter was put into operation by a logistics service provider in Germany. And several applications are now underway in the Netherlands as well. "We expect to be able to share the first reference projects in the Netherlands before the end of this year."
