New concrete shears optimally suited for heavy primary demolition

With the launch of the new concrete shears, at Bauma 2019 in Munich, Rotar has a world first! Rotar, an absolute leader when it comes to the production of efficient attachments, develops the most innovative equipment for hydraulic excavators and wheel loaders. The latest development is the Rotar concrete cutter: equipped with a revolutionary new technology called RAMPLIFIER®.

Revolutionary new technology: up to 700 bar breaking force
"Our new Rotar concrete shears are equipped with this RAMPLIFIER® technology that allows the forces of the cylinder to double in a fraction of a second." How it works? Louis is happy to explain: "When the resistance rises to 250 bar, the RAMPLIFIER® is activated. This slows down the cycle speed slightly, but by then the concrete cutter (RCC-Series) is already ingraining itself into the concrete with a doubling of the cylinder force. A throbbing high vibration frequency causes the jaws of the concrete cutter to attack the concrete with high forces. If the resistance increases even further, the crane can go from 250 to 350 bar and you have an output of 700 bar on this tool. Because the RAMPLIFIER® is completely enclosed in the piston rod, the noise is considerably dampened and the RAMPLIFIER® is also not sensitive to external influences. Finally, the right choice of cylinder diameter has created an optimal power-cycle ratio that makes the new Rotar concrete shears not only one of the strongest concrete shears but also one of the fastest." Louis names other major advantages, such as extra-long cutting blades and unique interchangeable jaw wear parts. "It saves an enormous amount of wasted time and maintenance costs," Louis concludes.
